We are proud to announce a new leader to the team at Kann Broadcast Talent Coaching. Award-winning producer and director David Kamens joins as Director of Business and Program Development.

The new role pairs Kamens closely with Senior Director Meg Green in building an elevated business platform to assist broadcasters seeking new heights in their professional career. Kamens spent twenty years as a production leader at networks under the NBC Sports Group umbrella. He has also coached individual on-air talent as part of his own business venture which gives KBTC another strong voice in orchestrating unique coaching programs for clients.

“Our relationship goes back years to our days working closely at NBC/Golf Channel where David wasn’t just a producer, he was a visionary and a production leader who helped me and others on-air become our absolute best,” said Kann Advisory Group President Kraig Kann. “One of his greatest talents is seeing things and creating things that others don’t. He’ll make our current broadcast coaching programs better and he’ll develop next level programs that will be very attractive to clients. That’s exciting!”

Most recently, Kamens directed live basketball for the inaugural season of Unrivaled Women’s 3-on-3 basketball on Turner Sports and helped produce for NBC’s Paris Olympics. His resume also includes film screenwriting, hosting and digital content storytelling.

“What sold me on joining Kann Broadcast Talent Coaching was the opportunity to help shape what “talent coaching” really looks like,” said Kamens. “At my core, I’ve always been a passionate storyteller, and this role gives me a leadership runway to help write the story
of where this organization goes and how we can give clients an amazing story to tell about their experience working with us.”

As well, David has developed – or personally created – more than 20 original series. As a department head during his twelve years at Golf Channel, David helmed 100 episodes of “Playing Lessons” that helped define the network’s early voice and later, as a creative executive at NBC Sports NW, his team earned seven Emmy nominations, taking home three wins.

“I’ve always believed the best programs start with a great idea—and a smart plan to bring it to life,” Kamens added. Joining this talented team on the development side is an exciting opportunity to create enriching experiences. And whatever the outlet, elevating someone’s ability to express their best still lights me up.”
